DOE¨s RIA high RF coupler
RIA project is on the top priority list of the Nuclear Physics Division of the US Department of Energy. Michigan State University (MSU) is in charge of providing two prototype cryomodules with complete superconducting cavitites and high RF power input couplers. MSU contracted AMAC in February 2003 to design and construct two prototypes of High RF power Coupler Systems. AMAC has successfully completed the design work and will provide the hardware soon.
Wiggler and Magnet
In 1995, AMAC-KELIN successfully built several Wigglers. In 2000, AMAC-Kelin designed, constructed & successfully tested more than 80 dipole & quadrupole magnets. This one of a kind designed magnet is used for Synchrotron Radiation Light Source at BEPC Storage Accelerator located at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) and the Shanghai Light Source. The fabrication of the magnets posed a challenge to AMAC-KELIN engineers because of the intricate design. The Magnets can be precisely adjusted by using a computerized control system.
The Wiggler has a weight
of 15T and its dimensions
are 1.88m x 1.11m x 2.26m.

The Quadrople magnet is
used at IMP.

The dipole magnet has a 2 meter bending radius, 60 degree bending angle, total weight about
12 Ton, accuracy about 10-4.

Innovative Coaxial Input Coupler for Very High RF Power
The new windows and couplers can be used in many RF power tube industries and accelerator projects such as SNS, Jefferson Lab upgrade, Muon Collider, and TESLA.
Cryogenic Transfer Lines/Tanks with Magnetic Suspension
The innovative Cryogenic Transfer Line with Magnetic Suspension has been successfully demonstrated for the first time in the world. It offers the potential advantage of extending missions, saving cryogens, or reducing the overall launch mass to a given mission.
