ĦĦĦĦJune 28, 2000 -- The US Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded AMAC International, Inc., a small high tech company in Newport News, a $750,000 SBIR Phase II grant to develop innovative high power Radio Frequency (RF) window technology estimated to save millions of dollars in cost per accelerator, upgrade project or new construction. Such advancement will result in cost effective satellite communication, which should translate into reduced consumer cell phone and other wireless costs. |
