Cryomagnetics is a complete engineering and manufacturing facility founded in 1983. We specialize in superconducting magnets, cryostats, cryogenic accessories, and related electronic instrumentation.
Our innovative engineering staff combined with our skilled production personnel quickly established Cryomagnetics as a world leading manufacturer of superconducting magnets. New techniques in magnet construction were discovered allowing more efficient manufacturing. Also new techniques in engineering allowed magnets to be built that other manufac-turers said could not be done.
An in-house engineered line of Electronic Instrumentation was also introduced. These items were designed to be as easy to operate as possible without sacrificing performance. A continuous improvement program insures all electronic instrumentation is of the highest quality. Some examples are our Model LM-500 Liquid Cryogen Monitor and Model CS4 Bipolar Power Supply. CE-Marked versions of most electronics including the CS4-10V/100 (+/-100A, +/-10V) power supply are available. All instruments CE-Marked have fully met all requirements for importation into the European Union.
The best way to insure critical magnetic field and cryostat specifications are met is to engineer and manufacture both the magnet and cryostat as a unit in-house. Cryomagnetics' ability to do this in-house has improved quality while reducing cost. Most superconducting magnet manufacturers do not have cryostat manufacturing capability.
Cryomagnetics specializes in Room Temperature Bore Cryostats for your most demanding applications. We offer ultra-low loss cryostats, cryogen-free systems, and custom design systems. Liquid cryogen-free superconducting magnet systems are cooled by either a 4.2K Gifford-McMahon or 4.2K pulse-tube cryocooler. Cryomagnetics developed the first commercially available superconducting magnet system cooled by a 4.2K pulse-tube in 1999. These and other Cryomagnetics' advancements have been recognized with technology awards such as the Tibbetts Award.
